A place to belong. A place to grow.

Many young adults want connection but feel unsure of where they fit. Some feel lonely or anxious in social spaces. Roots and Wings Clubhouse was founded so no one has to feel alone.

To understand Roots and Wings Clubhouse, it helps to be clear about what this space is meant to offer and what it is intentionally not.

What Roots and Wings Clubhouse Is — and Is Not

Roots and Wings Clubhouse was not created to be a classroom, a treatment program, or a place focused on constantly teaching or correcting skills.

It is not about instruction, performance, or expectations.

This is not a space where young adults are evaluated, fixed, or pushed to “improve” in ways that feel uncomfortable or forced. While growth happens naturally over time, it is never the starting point.

Roots and Wings Clubhouse exists first and foremost as a safe, welcoming social space — a place to talk, to listen, to hang out, and to simply be yourself.

Here, individuals can:

  • Speak their minds without fear of being judged

  • Share thoughts, feelings, or worries openly

  • Take social risks in a supportive environment

  • Sit quietly or participate as much (or as little) as they choose

  • Feel accepted even when they feel socially awkward or unsure

Many people experience anxiety in social settings, especially when they feel different or unsure of how they’ll be perceived. At Roots and Wings Clubhouse, anxiety is met with understanding, patience, and compassion — not pressure.

By creating a space where connection comes before expectations, young adults can begin to relax, feel safe, and gradually build confidence. Over time, friendships form, anxiety softens, and a sense of belonging takes root — not because it is taught, but because it is felt.

What Happens at the Clubhouse

The clubhouse offers a calm, welcoming environment where members can:

  • Connect with peers in small, supportive groups

  • Participate in creative and social activities

  • Build confidence through shared experiences

  • Develop everyday life and social skills naturally

  • Enjoy a space that feels safe, inclusive, and respectful

Activities are designed to encourage interaction without pressure and to support genuine relationships rather than forced participation.

Our Commitment to Families

We understand that trust matters. Families are placing their loved ones in our care, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Roots and Wings Clubhouse is built on:

  • Clear communication

  • Consistent structure

  • Respect for individual needs

  • A deep belief in each person’s potential

Our goal is to support not only young adults, but the families who care deeply about their well-being, happiness, and future.

Program Structure

Roots and Wings Clubhouse is a privately operated program and a registered for-profit business. Services are funded through private program fees and are intentionally designed to remain flexible, personal, and responsive to each individual’s needs.

Our Vision

This is not a place to be fixed — it’s a place to feel safe

We envision a community where young adults feel:

  • Seen and valued

  • Confident in social spaces

  • Connected to peers

  • Proud of who they are

Roots and Wings Clubhouse intends to grow thoughtfully — maintaining the warmth, safety, and sense of belonging that matters.
