A Typical Day at Roots and Wings Clubhouse

At the Clubhouse, there is no single “one-size-fits-all” day.

Our program is intentionally small so we can be flexible and responsive to each individual. Support is shaped around a person’s goals, strengths, and comfort level, while still being part of a shared, supportive community.

Each day may look different depending on what participants are working on — whether that’s building independence, developing life skills, increasing community involvement, or growing confidence in social settings.

Activities are adapted to the group and the individuals attending that day, allowing everyone to participate in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful.

🌱 Goal-Focused Support

Support is built around each person’s goals, such as:

  • Being part of the community

  • Building everyday life skills

  • Making social connections

  • Growing confidence and independence

Goals are supported through shared activities and small group experiences, with flexibility to move at a pace that feels comfortable for each individual.

🤝 Small Group, Flexible Support

Everyone is different. Some people enjoy small group activities, while others prefer to take things slowly.

At Roots and Wings:

  • Support happens in a small, calm group setting

  • Participants can join activities at their own pace

  • Activities are adapted to different comfort levels

This approach helps individuals feel supported, relaxed, and included—without pressure.

💛 A Supportive, Respectful Environment

Above all, a typical day at Roots and Wings Clubhouse is:

  • Calm and welcoming

  • Respectful of individual differences

  • Built on trust, dignity, and choice

  • Focused on growth — at a pace that feels right

🎬 Social & Community Activities

When aligned with participant goals and comfort levels, activities may also include:

  • Social time with other small community programs or groups

  • Movie outings, café visits, or shared leisure activities

  • Picnics and outdoor activities when weather permits

  • Community outings with appropriate staff support and planning

All activities are approached thoughtfully, with attention to safety, readiness, and individual comfort.
